blogspoters, been a long time thou not to post anything… since
actually this blog is only aimed to fulfill my educational need (or
task only) well.. beforehand, I'd like to inform you guys, that right
now I've moved to university since 2014 in Yogyakarta and taking an
International class of Bachelor Tourism Studies program in Gadjah
Mada University, right after graduated from my previous high school
(because I made this blog for my IT class in HS). And for now, this
is for my Indonesian Culture and Art subject, where I'll tell you
about 5 destinations around Indonesia which includes Artsy attraction
site, historical sites as well as other Object of Tourism Attraction.
So..those who are curious you can keep follow up my blog and yupp
let's move to the first spot !
The
first attraction spot that I recommend to you guys is Gili Trawangan.
Generally, Gili Trawangan is an island which situates next to two
same-sized islands of Gili Meno and Gili Air, it is the largest and
the most populous Gili among them. Apart from that, Those three Gilis
are geographically located in Lombok Island. FYI, Lombok island has
been so-called as “The Next Bali” since its main attraction is
the beaches which are kinda similar with Bali, as well as it is also
located next to Bali or to the eastward of Bali.

Moving
on to Gili Trawangan..Well, we might have known that its main tourism
attraction is the beach itself. But actually as the tourism began to
expand in this island, they provide others attraction to attract more
tourists to come. To shorten the lists, here's the top 5 activities
that you can do in Gili Trawangan …..

Water Sport
Indeed,
since Gili Trawangan is an island, you can do many water sports
activities since there are many shops providing water sport service.
It's like almost every 5 meters of shops selling their services. But
most of all, the all-time most favorite water sport is diving.
Because Gili Trawangan and other Gili offers a beautiful scenery of
coral garden.

Taking Andong Ride
Well,
here's the unique thing in Gili Trawangan, in this Gili the main
transportation is in form of Andong and it is the only transportation
to be used in here, either for touristic purpose or locals daily
activities purposes. Basically Andong is another name of Delman. In
which Delman is actually a traditional transportation used in
Indonesia and it uses the horse power. I basically don't know what is
the real motivation for using horse power as its main allowed
transportation. But I had certain thoughts towards this but probably
the most make-sensed reason was due to the environmental cause so
they'll have a sustainable environment. So, according to my opinion
taking andong is probably one of my most favorite things to do in
Gili since we can't take much of Andong ride in the city because
there have only been a few of andong in the city and taking andong is
considered to be a “child-ish” action. So, it is a really fin
thing to do and it reminded us of my childhood period.
4. Taking bicycle ride at night.
For
those looking for a stunning, mesmerizing, phenomenal night sky you
can take a bicycle ride to go around the island and enjoy the sky
with full of stars. So basically bicycle is also allowed to be used
as the second transportation after Andong. Even though , the road
might be go a little darker but you'll be able to see the amazing sky
up there.

Enjoying the night clubs or bar
Since
this island has been a tourist space and has been dominated by
international tourists. There are lots of night clubs or bars exists
and they're mostly located in the sea shore. So you would experience
a unique yet romantic night life experience. The bars also vary, and
most bars have their own characteristics and it can suits to every
people with different preferences styles. There are bars with modern
theme, this can be suited for those luxurious tourists. These bars
mostly have a modern thematic design interior and expensive drinks.
In contrast, there are also bars with a reggae theme, the songs
played mostly from Bob Marley's album and other reggae musics. The
design for this type of bar is usually casual, simple and romantic.
So this one is suitable for those low-cost traveller and reggae
lovers.
To
sum up, Gili Trawangan is one of few recommended places to be visited
while you're in Lombok. The beaches, the bars, the sunset, the
people, and the andong can mesmerizes tourists because its
uniqueness and this place can leave you great memories. And the last
thing is... this place is perfectly suits for honeymoon. So, those
honeymooners go packs your suitcases !
