TAMAN
PELANGI: A ROMANTICISM IN A LOVING CITY
The
last but not least, here we goo…. In this last particular
recommended tourism spot, this one would be more into an artistic
ones.. curious much?? keep reading this :D
Soo...for this last ones,
we would travel back to Java island where quite much close with
Semarang City. It just takes 3-4 hour drives from there and head
downwards from it!! Yupp...this one is in Yogyakarta! Our beloved
cultural city, and my second home amongst all… Basically, according
to my opinion and according to those people who have ever been living
in this cultural city always find at every corner of this city as an
artistic and has stories to be told. Not only considered to be a
cultural city, this one is also called as an artistic city because
this city born numerous of artists, such as Affandi whose now has his
own museum that displays his masterpieces.
After
a brief introduction, let me begin with the last recommended place to
be visited in Indonesia… This one is called as “Taman Pelangi”
or
called
as “Garden of Rainbow”.
Taman
Pelangi is basically
the
name given to the amusement park, which is located within the yard of
Monumen Jogja Kembali in
Northern Ringroad of Yogyakarta.It
is
designed
to surround the park, numerous lampions in various shapes and colors
are installed to decorate and
beautifying the
yard. The park also
has
two entrance gates-the west gate
and
the east ones.
I
suggests you to go through the east gate, as you will directly be
welcomed by an
enormous lampion
lights
in the shape of a rainbow, which also serves as the gate to the
mesmerizing
kingdom
of lampions.
Stepping
up
the park, we will go through a route of passages filled by various
colorful lampions-shaped in floras, faunas, Japanese and Disney
cartoon characters, until
the faces
of several
influential
Indonesian's leaders. The lampions are presented in varied
installation manners-some seem to be planted into the ground, some
are fixed to the wall, some hanging in the air, while some others are
installed in lines like a series
of
soldiers.
Besides
you can enjoy the beautiful of lampions lamps, you can also enjoy the
rides which are available. Such as trampoline, mini pedicab, rowboat,
water balls, speedboat, bom-bom car, and many others, to enjoy these
rides you should pay a price, and each of the rides has different
price. For those having a quite guts to challenge themselves, you can
give a shot by take a “Puri Hantu” ride. It is basically a
haunted mansion which probably showing local's ghost types such as
Pocong, Kuntilanak, and etcetera (I can't even think of them, because
I'm typing this in the middle of the night). Before entering the
ghost mansion, we would be served with a so-called ghost song which
was sang mystically in Javanese language. This one, is giving more a
horror atmosphere and I decided to not even make a step onto that one
specific place…..
It
is not exaggerating to say that Taman Pelangi Monjali is a quite an
all-in-one recreational site. While offering night romanticism
decorated with colorful lampions and various amusements, the venue
also includes a food court where you can rest and relax while trying
the menus. Still haven't got any idea where to spend a fun night in
Jogja? Why don't you just come to Taman Pelangi? You
just need to pay Rp.10.000 if it's weekday, and Rp.15.000 if it's
weekend! Chear right?? indeed!! and for general information, this
park is open daily from 05.00 pm until 11.00 pm.
Here's several great pictures taken from the Google, enjoy!!
For couples out there, here's some romantic pictures in there... :)
